A well-established and highly regarded London law firm is seeking a Post Completion Assistant to join its busy Residential Property Conveyancing team.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills within a residential Property Conveyancing department. Working alongside experienced conveyancers and the post-completion team, you will play an important role in ensuring residential property transactions are completed efficiently and accurately following completion.
 
The Role
Supporting a busy Residential Property Conveyancing department, you will assist with all aspects of the post-completion process while providing wider administrative support to the team. This is a varied role requiring exceptional organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and submitting SDLT returns.
  • Arranging SDLT payments.
  • Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications.
  • Assisting with Land Registry requisitions and liaising with fee earners to resolve outstanding matters.
  • Obtaining NHBC policy certificates and other completion documentation.
  • Preparing registration completion letters to lenders.
  • Scanning, collating and organising documentation for Land Registry applications.
  • Renewing Land Registry priority searches where required.
  • Providing general administrative support across the Residential Conveyancing team.
 
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have previous administrative experience within a residential conveyancing team / business.
 
You will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a busy and collaborative team.
Ideally you will have:
  • Previous administration experience within a legal or property environment.
  • A good understanding of residential conveyancing and the post-completion process.
  • Knowledge of SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience of legal case management systems being advantageous.
  • A proactive approach, willingness to learn and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
