IRG Law is working with a well-established and growing law firm seeking a Junior Post-Completion Assistant to join its busy Residential Property team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 6-12 months' experience within residential conveyancing who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of residential property matters, including both second-hand residential transactions and new-build developments.
The Role
Working closely with fee earners and experienced conveyancing professionals, you will assist with all aspects of the post-completion process, ensuring transactions are progressed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns.
- Assisting with Land Registry applications and registrations.
- Responding to Land Registry requisitions.
- Serving notices and dealing with post-completion formalities.
- Liaising with lenders, management companies, developers and other third parties.
- Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting fee earners on a varied caseload of residential property transactions.
- Assisting with general administrative duties within the conveyancing team.
About You
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- Approximately 6-12 months' experience within a residential conveyancing or post-completion role.
- A basic understanding of SDLT submissions and Land Registry processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
- The ability to prioritise workload effectively and work as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within residential property.
