A growing full-service law firm is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor to join its established London conveyancing team.
 
The firm provides legal, property and financial services to clients throughout the UK and has continued to invest significantly in the growth of its residential property practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team offering high-quality work, direct client contact and strong prospects for career progression.
 
You will manage a varied residential property caseload from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion. Matters will include:
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • New-build property
  • Shared ownership transactions
  • Remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • Complex leasehold matters
  • Transactions affected by the Building Safety Act
 
You will be responsible for reviewing titles, raising and responding to enquiries, checking mortgage offers and searches, reporting to clients, exchanging contracts and completing transactions. You will also liaise closely with estate agents, mortgage brokers, developers and other solicitors while building strong relationships with clients and referrers.
 
The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Between one and five years' PQE
  • Experience managing residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
  • Knowledge of the London residential property market
  • Experience of freehold, leasehold and more complex conveyancing matters
  • An understanding of the Building Safety Act and its application to residential transactions, or a desire to learn
  • Strong technical, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, commercially aware and client-focused approach
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
  • An interest in developing relationships with estate agents, brokers, developers and other referrers
 
The firm offers:
  • A salary of £50,000 to £65,000, depending on experience
