City of London | 1-5 years' PQE | £50,000 to £65,000

A well-established boutique law firm is seeking a Residential Property Solicitor to join its experienced conveyancing team in the City of London.

The firm acts for a diverse UK and international client base and handles a broad range of residential property transactions, including high-value and technically complex matters. Its residential conveyancing practice is accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically confident solicitor who can manage their own caseload with minimal supervision while delivering a responsive and highly personalised service to clients.

The caseload will include:
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • High-value residential property transactions
  • Buy-to-let property
  • New-build and shared ownership transactions
  • Mortgages and remortgages
  • Transfers of equity
  • Equity release and right-to-buy matters
  • Auction sales and purchases
  • Lease variations and residential tenancy agreements
  • Conditional contracts and option agreements

You will be responsible for progressing transactions efficiently from instruction through to completion, drafting and reviewing legal documents, investigating titles and providing clear and commercially focused advice to clients.

The role will also involve working collaboratively with colleagues, supervising junior team members where appropriate and identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.

The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • Between one and five years' PQE
  • A strong background in residential property
  • Experience managing a varied caseload independently and with minimal supervision
  • Exposure to high-value or technically complex residential transactions
  • Strong technical knowledge and excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to draft, review and negotiate property documentation
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills
  • A proactive, organised and commercially aware approach
  • The ability to work accurately and efficiently while managing competing deadlines
  • A collaborative and team-focused working style

The firm offers:
  • A salary of £50,000 to £65,000, depending on experience
  • High-quality residential property work
  • Exposure to a diverse UK and international client base
  • Professional development and career progression opportunities
  • A collaborative and supportive working environment
  • The opportunity to supervise junior colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the team
