Location: City of London / Hybrid working
Salary: Approximately £35,000 to £38,000

The Opportunity
An established Legal 500-recognised commercial law firm in the City of London is seeking a capable and commercially minded Corporate Paralegal to join its Corporate and Commercial team.
The successful candidate will support experienced solicitors and partners on a varied transactional caseload, with a particular focus on acquisitions, disposals and other corporate matters involving healthcare and dental businesses.
Previous healthcare or dental experience is not essential, as appropriate training will be provided. However, candidates with relevant sector experience will be particularly well placed. Strong corporate transactional support experience is essential, ideally gained within a similarly sized commercial law firm.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on transactional experience, work closely with senior lawyers and develop specialist knowledge within growing healthcare and dental markets.
Key Responsibilities
The role will include:
- Supporting solicitors with share and asset acquisitions and disposals.
- Preparing and reviewing ancillary transaction documents.
- Assisting with legal and commercial due diligence.
- Preparing Companies House forms, board minutes, resolutions and other corporate documentation.
- Maintaining transaction checklists, virtual data rooms and completion documentation.
- Assisting with disclosure exercises and preparing disclosure bundles.
- Undertaking company searches and corporate research.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, accountants, lenders and other professional advisers.
- Assisting with completions and post-completion matters.
- Providing wider support to the Corporate and Commercial team.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A minimum of six months' paralegal experience within a Corporate or Corporate and Commercial team.
- Experience supporting corporate acquisitions and disposals.
- A good understanding of the structure, process and documentation involved in corporate transactions.
- Experience gained within a commercial law firm of a comparable size and standing.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to transaction deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence dealing professionally with clients and external advisers.
- A proactive, commercially aware and team-focused approach.
- A genuine interest in developing their corporate legal experience.
